Frequently asked questions

These answers describe Cardboard Trade's current Solana app. Market parameters can change at any time without advance notice; check the live trade ticket before every order.

Which markets and leverage are available?

The app offers BTC, ETH, and SOL. Leverage can be set from 1× to 1000× without a trading-history requirement. A position's order value is margin multiplied by leverage and cannot exceed $10 million. Minimum margin, minimum order value, available collateral, and limits on each market side can also prevent an order.

Why can the winning payout factor be below 100%?

The factor reflects an order's size against the market's configured depth and winning exposure already assigned to positions on the same side. It is locked when your position opens. A 100% factor means full linear winning exposure before the deadband and fees; it does not promise a profit or reduce the exposure to losses. See Winning payout factor for current settings and examples.

Can I add margin or partly close a position?

No. Margin and leverage are fixed when a position opens, and a close settles the whole position. To change your exposure, close the position and open another one with the amount you want. You can also open a separate position while the first remains active.

What price does a trade use?

The app displays a midpoint calculated from the current bid and ask available to the exchange. The price used when a transaction executes can be different from the preview. A missing or stale quote can block an action. Trades and pricing explains what to review before signing.

What can a trade cost?

Your wallet pays Solana network fees and sometimes account setup costs. At close, the protocol may collect a charge equal to 0.5 basis point of the original order value. Profitable closes also pass through a small-move deadband, the position's locked payout factor, and a market-set fee on the adjusted gain (2% by default). These terms are different from a fee on every open. See Wins and losses for the order of settlement.

Can a profitable close be delayed?

Yes. If the house cannot immediately cover a payable claim, the unpaid amount enters a first-in, first-out queue. A queued balance cannot be withdrawn until it is credited to your available balance. There is no guaranteed wait time. See House and payout queue.

Do losses always earn CARDBOARD?

Only an eligible adverse-price loss creates tokens. A fee that makes an otherwise flat trade net negative does not itself qualify. The rate varies with the exchange's tracked house result, so the token amount can change. A liquidation uses its full lost margin as the reward basis. See CARDBOARD emissions.

What does one-click trading authorize?

It gives a temporary key permission to open and close positions for your account. That key cannot withdraw USDC or manage staking rewards, but it can lose trading collateral through positions. It expires after up to 30 days and can be revoked in the app. See One-click trading.

Can I deposit from another chain?

You can use the Open Relay bridge link in the Deposit dialog to move funds into your connected Solana wallet as Solana USDC. Return to Cardboard Trade and deposit from that wallet once the USDC arrives; the bridge does not credit your trading balance directly. Check Relay's destination, token, and fees before confirming. Never send a token from another network directly to your personal Solana deposit address. See Deposits and withdrawals for the minimum and activation charge.
